Divator Full Face Mask: What to Know Before You Order
- Skirt material. Natural rubber and EPDM are the usual public safety choice for durability and contaminant resistance. Silicone is more comfortable.
- The hatch is a breathing valve. It is an integrated ambient breathing valve, not a comms port. Open it on the surface to breathe ambient air and save cylinder gas; close it to dive.
- Hose is not included. A breathing hose is required with the mask and ordered separately.
- Comms are separate. The mask runs wired or wireless communications, added as an accessory.
- Light rail. Many teams add a light rail system and a dive light. We list every needed add-on on your quote.

Field-Proven: Interspiro on the Hurricane Helene Recovery

During the September 2026 Hurricane Helene debris-removal operation at Lake Adger and Turner Shoals Dam in Polk County, NC, our crew ran ten-hour days, seven days a week, in zero visibility against a dam face. Can my agency buy with a purchase order? Yes. We accept purchase orders from fire, rescue, law enforcement, and other public safety agencies. Request a quote, then send your PO referencing the quote number.
Can you provide an itemized written quote for our purchasing file? Yes. Our quotes list each item with manufacturer part numbers, quantities, pricing, shipping, and expected lead time, so your purchasing office has what it needs for its file.
Our agency has bidding rules. How should we handle an Interspiro purchase? Your purchasing office decides which method applies under your local policy and state law. Many teams document standardization on the Interspiro equipment they already operate. We can provide a manufacturer-specific item list and a written quote to support whichever process you use.
Do you ship to agencies outside North Carolina? Yes. We supply public safety dive teams throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, and across the United States.

Interspiro Questions We Get From Dive Teams
Which Divator mask material is better for public safety diving?
For most public safety work we recommend natural rubber or EPDM skirts. They hold up better to repeated use and resist contaminants better than silicone. Silicone is more comfortable, so some teams choose it for training or clean-water work. Tell us your water conditions and we'll match the mask to the mission.
What does the hatch on the Divator mask do?
The hatch is an integrated ambient breathing valve. Open it on the surface to breathe ambient air and conserve cylinder gas, then close it to dive. It is not a communications port. Communications are added separately, and the mask runs either wired or wireless.
What do I need to buy along with the Divator mask?
A breathing hose is required and is not included with the mask. Most teams also add communications and a light rail system with a dive light. We list the add-ons your configuration needs on the quote so nothing is missed.
What mask sizes are available?
The Divator is offered in Regular, Small and X-Large. Small and X-Large are available in black EPDM. Ask us for current availability when you request your quote.
What is the difference between normal-pressure and positive-pressure (safety pressure) valves?
A positive-pressure, or safety pressure, valve keeps the gas in the mask slightly above the surrounding water pressure, so a small leak pushes gas out instead of letting water in. A normal-pressure valve delivers gas on demand. Many teams specify positive pressure for contaminated or low-visibility water. Your dive supervisor makes the final call, and we'll help you compare the options.
Do you service Interspiro equipment?
Yes. We are an authorized Interspiro service center for DP-1, RS4 and Octo equipment, and we also service OTS communications equipment. Local teams can bring gear to the shop, and agencies elsewhere can ship it to us. Ask for current turnaround when you send your service request.
