The Interspiro DP-1 is the world's first high-pressure surface supply system. Its unique design, with a lightweight hose that also serves as a safety line, gives the diver excellent maneuverability while still providing the security of surface supply diving. Smart features such as supply cylinders that can be changed mid-operation enable longer dives, so the DP-1 offers both world-class performance and maximum safety. We have it in our Gastonia, NC store for demo.

Key Features of the Interspiro DP-1

  • Lightweight, compact design for rapid deployments.
  • Simplified control panel that lets the attendant focus on the safety of the diver.
  • A shuttle valve makes it possible to change supply cylinders during the dive.
  • Available in lengths up to 120 meters.
  • The small-diameter, lightweight supply hose greatly reduces resistance in strong currents.
  • A thin communication cable can be wrapped around the hose.
  • The hose doubles as a safety line.
  • Integrated regulator, with no manual pressure adjustment needed for different depths.

Why It Is Safer for Public Safety Divers

Public safety divers spend a lot of time getting in and out of the water to change tanks. With the DP-1, the diver's back gas cylinder is his backup air, and he dives on the supply while the tanks on his back stay full. That reduces the risk of running out of air substantially.

A very loud audible alarm signals the topside dive tender to change the cylinders. If the tender lets the diver run out anyway, the system switches automatically to the diver's back gas after the alarm. No gas switch block is required.

Not Just for Public Safety Divers

The Interspiro Divator (AGA) full face mask can be used by recreational divers too. It brings all the benefits of a full face mask that breathes great and can be part of a full system from one manufacturer: BC, regulators and full face mask, tested together as one approved package.

Demo, Training and Service

We also have low-pressure standard commercial diving equipment in the store for demo, but this Interspiro system is a game changer. We are a major Interspiro service center and can certify your dive team in surface supplied diving. Learn more about public safety diving at Sink or Swim, read our full face mask and surface supplied air post, or contact us to schedule a demo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Interspiro DP-1?
The world's first high-pressure surface supply system, with a lightweight hose that doubles as a safety line.

How long can the hose be?
Up to 120 meters.

Can supply cylinders be changed during the dive?
Yes. A shuttle valve makes it possible to change supply cylinders during the diving operation.

What happens if the supply runs out?
A very loud alarm signals the tender. If the supply still runs out, the system switches automatically to the diver's back gas. No gas switch block is required.

Can we demo it?
Yes, the equipment is in our store for qualified divers and teams.
