Scuba Suits: Wetsuits & Dive Skins
Looking for a scuba suit (also called a scuba diving suit)? Most divers mean a wetsuit or dive skin. We stock quality exposure protection that improves warmth, mobility, and overall comfort in the water.
Visit us in Gastonia (Charlotte area) for sizing help and suit recommendations.
Suit comfort is one of the first things that affects diver comfort. A properly fitted suit is easier to put on, less restrictive, and keeps you warmer so you can enjoy your dives more.
Diving Wetsuits vs Non-Diving Watersports Wetsuits
Scuba diving involves repeated pressure changes as you descend and ascend. Wetsuits not designed for scuba can break down faster from compression cycles, causing them to lose insulation and warmth sooner. A purpose-built diving wetsuit typically holds up better and lasts longer for regular scuba use.
Comfort and Quality Matter
Better suits are usually more comfortable, less restrictive, and built to move with you underwater. They also tend to last significantly longer than ultra-cheap suits. We carry BARE wetsuits in stock and can help you choose the right thickness (3mm, 5mm, or 7mm) and fit for your diving plans.
Whether you call it a scuba suit or scuba diving suit, we’ll work with you to find the right option for your needs and budget. Need sizing help? Contact us or stop by the shop to try suits on in person.
