Meet the Sink or Swim Scuba Dive Team

Leadership, Instruction, and Operational Support

Our staff includes experienced instructors, divemasters, and operational professionals who support a wide range of diving activities, including recreational training, advanced and technical diving, and public safety dive operations. From entry-level Open Water students to ERDI public safety teams, our team supports divers at every stage of development.

Each member of the Sink or Swim Scuba team contributes a unique combination of instructional skill, operational experience, and practical insight. Together, we support safe training environments, realistic scenarios, and disciplined procedures that translate beyond the classroom and into real-world application.

Public Safety Diving and Real-World Experience

Sink or Swim Scuba actively supports ERDI public safety diving programs and public safety dive training through hands-on involvement in real-world operations. Our team has assisted with underwater vehicle recoveries, evidence-related dives, underwater construction projects, and operational logistics throughout North Carolina and neighboring states.

This real-world experience informs how we train and support dive teams. We understand the challenges of low visibility, contaminated water, limited resources, and high-consequence decision-making, and we incorporate those realities into training and program development whenever appropriate.

A Partnership-Based Approach

Sink or Swim Scuba approaches public safety diving engagements as long-term partnerships rather than traditional vendor relationships. We work alongside agencies and dive teams to understand their mission requirements, operating environments, staffing realities, and budget constraints.

Rather than pushing unnecessary equipment or one-size-fits-all programs, our team focuses on collaborative planning, phased training approaches, and realistic equipment recommendations that support safety and sustainability. This partnership-based mindset helps teams build stronger, more capable dive programs that can be maintained over time—not just during a single training cycle.
