Lincoln County Sheriff Dive Team Equipment Service, Training, and Public Safety Diving Partnership
Public safety diving is built on preparation, trust, and dependable equipment. Recently, we had the opportunity to return serviced dive equipment to the Lincoln County Sheriff Dive Team and spend time with them during training and operational preparation. Days like this reinforce the importance of strong long-term partnerships between dive teams and equipment support providers.
At Sink or Swim Scuba, we are proud to support public safety dive teams across North Carolina, South Carolina, and throughout the East Coast. Our role often goes far beyond simply selling equipment. We help teams maintain readiness by managing equipment service cycles, providing training support, and assisting with operational planning.
A Long-Term Partnership Built on Trust
Our relationship with members of the Lincoln County Sheriff Dive Team goes back nearly 30 years. We have trained together, conducted dives together, and supported each other through changing equipment standards, evolving training requirements, and real-world operational challenges.
Public safety diving environments are rarely easy. Cold water, limited visibility, heavy gear, and long training days are part of the reality. These conditions build confidence, teamwork, and operational discipline. They also highlight the importance of dependable equipment and trusted support partners.
Being able to work alongside teams like Lincoln County is not just part of our business — it is part of our history and our commitment to the public safety diving community.
Managing Dive Team Equipment Maintenance and Readiness
For many public safety dive teams, keeping up with equipment inspections, regulator service intervals, drysuit maintenance, communication system checks, and replacement planning can be a major challenge.
This is where we help.
Sink or Swim Scuba works closely with teams to take ownership of equipment maintenance logistics. We track service schedules, perform regulator and full face mask service, coordinate repairs, assist with equipment upgrades, and help departments maintain operational readiness.
Instead of departments having to manage multiple vendors and service timelines, we provide a single trusted point of contact. This allows dive teams to stay focused on training, mission planning, and real-world response.
Equipment Used by the Lincoln County Sheriff Dive Team
The Lincoln County team operates with a strong and capable public safety diving configuration designed for reliability and performance in demanding environments. Their setup includes:
- OTS Guardian Full Face Masks
- OTS PowerComm 3000D Communication Units
- CDK-6 Surface Conversion Kits
- DUI TLS350 Public Safety Drysuits
- Zeagle Ranger Buoyancy Compensators
- Atomic Aquatics Regulators
This configuration provides excellent communication capability, durability, thermal protection, and operational flexibility for search and recovery operations.
Demonstrating Advanced Public Safety Diving Systems
In addition to supporting their current equipment configuration, we are actively working with teams throughout the region to demonstrate advanced public safety diving technologies.
This includes:
- Interspiro DP-1 Surface Supplied Diving Systems
- Interspiro Divator Full Face Masks (AGA masks)
- Interspiro Buoyancy Systems
- Other Interspiro public safety diving equipment solutions
Surface supplied diving systems are becoming increasingly important for many public safety teams due to enhanced diver safety, extended bottom times, improved communication capability, and increased operational control.
Providing hands-on demonstrations allows teams to evaluate these systems in realistic conditions before making procurement decisions.
Supporting Training, Readiness, and Operational Success
Our support of public safety dive teams is built on long-term relationships and a deep understanding of the operational realities they face. From equipment service and repair to training assistance and system demonstrations, our goal is simple:
Help dive teams stay ready.
We understand that when a call comes in, equipment must work, divers must be prepared, and support systems must be reliable. That level of readiness does not happen by accident. It comes from consistent training, proper maintenance, and trusted partnerships.
If your public safety dive team needs assistance with equipment service, training support, system upgrades, or operational planning, Sink or Swim Scuba is always available to help.
